Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy S10 get 120Hz refresh rate with One UI 2.1, but can’t use

Samsung has released the One UI 2.1 with many new features for the Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy S10 series. Along with popular Galaxy S20 features, it brought one interesting display settings but you can’t use that.

The latest One UI 2.1 update offers a 120Hz refresh rate option for the Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy S10, but Samsung’s last year’s flagship smartphones cannot make use of it as their displays are hardware-limited to 60Hz.

When you toggle on the 120Hz refresh rate option, it makes no difference to the Galaxy S10 or Galaxy Note 10 as their display panels are limited to standard 60Hz refresh rate.

The high refresh rate 120Hz option doesn’t make any sense for the Galaxy Note 10 and S10 devices. It is possible that the option would disappear in the future software update. Well, you can still enjoy the 120Hz high refresh rate, just get the Galaxy S20 series.
