Google Play System July 2022 update is now live and it brings some new features and changes to enhance Android devices. This is a monthly update for Android devices that includes improvements to the Android operating system, Google Play services, and the Play Store.
Google Play System July 2022 update brings new Material You changes for the Play Store. This update is inspired by Material Design 2 design and now the rectangular buttons are now replaced by Material U-inspired pill-shaped buttons. These design changes can be seen on the Install, Uninstall and Update buttons, while the category filters go in the opposite design direction.

July’s Google System update includes several bug fixes related to account and system management and diagnostics. The official Google Help page mentions security and privacy improvements to help you protect the integrity of your device to keep it safe, as well as features like locating your lost devices.
With the new update, there are also some features related to safety and emergency. Also, users should start seeing alerts on their phones and ensure that they get timely alerts like earthquake and COVID-19 exposure notifications.

Developers have until 1 November 2022 to make necessary changes to their apps. We also expect Android 13 to be available by then. That’s why developers should ensure that their apps target at least Android 11 or newer. Google said it will hide apps that don’t comply with the new policy, encouraging developers to keep their apps updated.
