Xiaomi has officially announced the list of end-of-life devices that will not receive official maintenance and after-sales service for various Xiaomi and Redmi devices. Nowadays, all smartphone brands are offering long-term support in both software and hardware parts. Xiaomi is also Supported in software, hardware, and after-sales support for Xiaomi, and Redmi smartphones.
According to Xiaomi’s official product announcement at the discontinuation of the service page, there are seven Xiaomi and Redmi smartphones that will no longer receive official maintenance and after-sales service. It started on 1st July 2022. According to the company’s statement, there will be no support for these devices.
These Xiaomi phones no longer provide after-sales service:
- Mi Max 3
- Xiaomi Mi 8 Discovery Edition (transparent)
- Mi 8 screen fingerprint (transparent and non-transparent)
- Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 (5G)
- Mi Play
- Redmi S2
- Redmi 6 Pro
Xiaomi officially announced that these products have ceased production and that the manufacturer no longer supplies the spare parts needed for after-sales service. The maintenance material has passed the legal supply period. Therefore, Xiaomi will not be able to continue to provide you with maintenance and after-sales services after the sale.
However, These smartphone users can continue to enjoy the sales after the service of testing, debugging, cleaning, and maintenance. From the point of view of these 7 models, most of them are models released around 2018.
