Samsung has introduced its all-new Virtual Avatar, G.NUSMAS. It is a small, blue alien with large, beady eyes that looks super cute. Samsung said it’s an employee who has come from a planet far and is coming to soon to your devices.

An employee from a planet far? The idea of G.NUSMAS came from a joke that people usually make when Samsung introduces a new or unique product: “Samsung must have hired an alien being to design and develop its innovative technologies”.

Samsung with its new Virtual Avatar, G.NUSMAS wants to connect with younger generations, especially Millennial and Generation Z (MZ) consumers.

As people make jokes and memes about Samsung’s creations, it shows their affectionate interest in the Galaxy products. Therefore, the company has brought a friendly and pleasant avatar into the Galaxy world.

By introducing this impulsive and fantastic alien and letting it show the different sides of Samsung to the public, the company wants its consumers to feel more familiar with the brand.

The company further explained the reason behind the name ‘G∙NUSMAS’ saying that it is ‘Samsung’ spelled backward. Its home planet Nowus-129 is a planet 100 million light-years from Earth that also references the address of the company’s headquarters in South Korea, 129 Suwon, written on the reverse.

Furthermore, Samsung is planning to release a series of short-form videos that shows the story behind G.NUSMAS, starting with its birth and accidental arrival on Earth, a short part of this video is linked below.

You can watch the G∙NUSMAS’ journey as it works, plays, and has a variety of experiences at Samsung’s headquarters.

The new avatar’s bright and cheerful personality will shine through the video as it sings, dances, and interacts with a variety of Samsung devices, from jumping around on a monitor to dancing on the screen of a smartphone.

Lastly, Samsung announced that its new virtual assistant G∙NUSMAS will be debuted at IFA 2022. And, its story will be released through the company’s social media channels including YouTube, Facebook alongside Samsung.com on September 2.

The company will also let you communicate with G∙NUSMAS through social media, the metaverse and other digital channels.
