Previously, the Competition Commission of India (CCI) fined Google 13.38 billion rupees and 9.36 billion rupees, accusing it of its dominance in multiple markets related to Android devices and forcing application developers.
Using Google’s billing system in paid app purchases is similar to India’s antitrust charges against Apple. In fact, Apple faces a similar situation in the EU. EU regulators have launched an investigation into Apple’s 30% in-app fee and other restrictions on paid digital content distribution.
