Market research firm Strategy Analytics today announced the notebook market data for the third quarter of 2022. Laptops continued to struggle this year, with shipments down 15 percent compared to last year.

Moreover, data shows that the notebook market sales in the third quarter of 2022 will reach 56.1 million units, a year-on-year decrease of 15%.
In the third quarter of 2022, the top three in the notebook market are Lenovo, HP, and Dell, with market shares of 23%, 17%, and 16%, respectively.
In addition, most manufacturers’ sales fell year-on-year, only Apple’s MacBook increased by 26%, and its sales reached 8.1 million units in the third quarter, and its share reached 14%.
Chirag Upadhyay, the industry Analyst at Strategy Analytics, said: “Compared to pre-pandemic levels, most vendors continue to perform well as upgrades across businesses continue and consumer numbers continue to challenge all vendors except Apple.
Apple had good results in terms of MacBook PC shipments and revenue, they successfully delivered backlogs (mainly upgrades), plus MacBooks with the new M2 chipset drove sales in multiple regions. “
