With the onset of this month, Google has released the December 2022 Play System Update with a bunch of new additions. However, the star of the changelog was the digital driver’s license. Now, the tech maker is pushing off a like-wise feature to other devices. In the latest edition, Google is rolling out the digital car key feature for Xiaomi devices.
Yes, you read it right. Google has now enabled the digital car key feature for Xiaomi devices and gadgets. Eventually, compatible Xiaomi phones with the latest operating system and high-end mechanisms will be able to access the digital aspects and automobile functions conveniently.

For those who are unaware, the Digital car key feature allows users to lock, unlock, and even start their car or smart vehicles without using an actual (physical) key. All you need is your smartphone or a similar handy gadget to access the controls. Further, this feature resides in the Google Wallet.
So far, the thoughtful feature was confined to Pixel 6 and above series, Samsung Galaxy S21 and above handsets, and a few of the selected Android 12 devices. Now, Google is giving this advantage to Xiaomi users with the latest Google Play System Update.
In addition to the digital car key feature, users can also find internal capabilities to possess Find My Device support, Bug fixes for security and stability subjects, and enhanced verification access for Google Products.
Availability:
The US manufacturer has started rolling out the respective feature via Google Play services v50.22 update version. Hence, users holding a Xiaomi gadget in their hands must check and install the latest build of the Google Play system to access the digital car key feature effectively.
