Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL now supports LineageOS 20 (Android 13)

The six years old Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL devices are now getting the support of LineageOS 20 based on Android 13. The second generation Pixel devices were launched in the year 2017, and so far the devices have completed their software update support with Android 11.

The LineageOS 20 is already available for a crew of devices from various manufacturers including Samsung, OnePlus, Xiaomi, Motorola, Sony, and Google. Now, two more devices have joined the LineageOS 20 team namely the Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL.

So far, second-generation Pixel users were not able to experience any new functionalities as they are stuck with Android 11. Thus, now this LineageOS 20 based on Android 13 gives you a chance to experience some unique and modified features and functions on your device.

However, currently, there is no changelog available for your Pixel devices, but the LineageOS 20 may offer you a new camera app called Aperture, updated WebView, and an improved volume panel. Additionally, the Lineage fork of the AOSP Gallery app has also gotten many fixes and improvements.

But before moving towards the download links, you’ll have to unlock the bootloader and install a custom recovery like TWRP on your device. Also, make sure to back up your data before unlocking the bootloader. Since it is based on AOSP, users would not require any specific application to install the interface.
