Google is already working on the next major version of Android, Android 14. The Android 14 first developer preview was released in early February 2023 and brought important information about the upcoming features in the OS.
At the Google I/O developer conference 2023, Google finally shared some long-awaited details about Android 14 and also brings the third public beta build.
Android 14 optimizes the way apps work together, improves system health and battery life, and polishes the end-user experience.

According to the testing schedule, just like the Android 13’s testing phase, we have already tested two developer previews in February and March respectively.
On April 12, Google released the first public beta, and two weeks later we received a hotfix Beta 1.1 build. At the Google I/O developer conference on May 10, Google released the second public beta build of Android 14 alongside more details. Google released the third beta with platform stability in June. You can expect stable Android 14 OS to reach smartphones by October this year, alongside Pixel 8 series.
