A Chinese regulator has listed the battery sizes of the Galaxy Watch 6 and the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic. The listing reveals that the largest variants of both watches will share the same battery. This new information reaffirms the previously heard rumors.
The listing confirms that the Galaxy Watch 6 series will include 4 models this year, one more than the Galaxy Watch 5 series, which launched last year.

The Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic will be available in two sizes. The Watch 6 will come with 40mm and 44mm options, and 42mm and 46mm will be reserved for the Watch 6 Classic model.
According to the listings, here are the battery sizes for each size:
- Galaxy Watch 6 40mm: 300mAh
- Galaxy Watch 6 Classic 42mm: 300mAh
- Galaxy Watch 6 44mm: 425mAh
- Galaxy Watch 6 Classic 46mm: 425mAh
The above battery size is 5% bigger than the Galaxy Watch 5 series. When you compare it with Galaxy Watch 4, it will give you a battery upgrade of around 20%. This would still be a downgrade compared to the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro.
Last year, Samsung also launched the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro with a 590mAh battery life. However, there’s no mention of a Pro watch variant, we didn’t hear anything yet about the Galaxy Watch 6 Pro.
In addition, Samsung could use the MicroLED display instead of SuperAMOLED to improve the battery improvement on the Galaxy Watch 6.
