OnePlus fans will finally get some new and worthy changes in the app drawer of their smartphone. The company eventually took a step and answered a few questions related to this matter.
In recent times, several OnePlus phone holders complained about the poor performance of the app drawer. Accordingly, the feature doesn’t respond accurately while using it or performing gestures on it.
The consumers also shared the app drawer difficulties during the OxygenOS functions survey. A user specifically pointed out the animation effect and asked the company to make improvements in the app drawer rather than the ‘not-so-importatnt’ Shelf.
Eventually, OnePlus responded on this subject that it will initiate useful changes in the app drawer in the second quarter of this year. On the side hand, the company will fix the known issues of the feature with the next updates.
When asked by a user about the swipe-down gesture issue on the app drawer, OnePlus replied that the developer team addressed the main cause and is going to patch it in Q2 2023. Besides, the tech maker said to remain attentive at the time of the new version push.
Further, the manufacturer flashed some light on why users can’t enable the app drawer by swiping up from the Google search bar:
“Thank you for your feedback. It is because of the whole sincere suggestions on the using experience from our customers that we can keep making progress all the time. We are going to release it in the second quarter when it will be possible to enable the drawer by swiping up from the Google search bar. Stay tuned.”
