After the turn of the unlocked variant, Samsung is now sending the April 2023 major camera update for the carrier-locked models of Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra in the US. Meanwhile, the update is already available in Asian and European countries, whereas the remaining will also get it soon.
According to the information, the April 2023 camera update is rolling out for the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra devices with the One UI build version N98xUSQU4HWD1. Additionally, the advancements of firmware are included in an installation package of around 1035.13 megabytes.
Being a monthly security patch, the update will offer improved protection against malicious threats, viruses, and other safety-related assaults. In addition, it will also provide increased security and improved reliability of the system, ensuring that confidential data and sensitive information remain safe and secure.
Furthermore, the update will add improvements in the camera and gallery services of the Note 20 devices, such as the fixes for some issues like the green lines, banding noise, blurring, malfunction when Scene optimization is off, Super Steady function, third-party video calls, and more.
Additionally, the users may also enjoy the functionalities of the Image Clipper feature of the Galaxy S23 series, for an improved photography experience. Moving on, the update also added a new function to the Gallery which lets you quickly delete photos that are processed by the camera right after they’ve been taken.
However, it’s an incremental rollout, thus it may take some time or days to get available for every eligible unit. In case, you don’t want to wait for the update to reach your device, then you can check it manually via your device Settings > Software Update > Download and Install option.
