Nothing company has confirmed that its first and only handset – Nothing Phone (1) is eligible for the Android 14 upgrade, and will receive beta 1 in the upcoming weeks. It’s no less than a surprise for the corresponding device owners who will be able to test new features in advance.
It is worth mentioning that with this statement, Nothing Phone (1) will be the first non-Google device to get the Android 14 Beta. Notably, it won’t go through the developer preview phase and will directly attain the golden opportunity.
Though the tech giant has not mentioned any specific timeline for the beta rollout. Although we can assume a date, concerning the previous inputs.
Accordingly, the Android 13-based Nothing OS 1.5 version was available for all Phone (1) units by mid-February last year. But, the company started pushing off the major release six months behind the Pixel devices.
Thus, we could expect the same scenario this year as well. Also, the firm may unveil the stable Nothing OS update in the latter part of 2023. With a bunch of new features and functionalities, the company will finally glorify its handy gadgets.
Apart from the software tweaks, Nothing is also readying a new flagship named – Nothing Phone (2). The device is expected to debut in the upcoming months. However, it is bizarre if the latest phone will be eligible to jump in the Android 14 preview pool.
