OnePlus is already rolling out Android 14 (OxygenOS) support for a native app, which is all set to download for some users. The company is testing the next coming Android version’s beta on the latest OnePlus 11 flagship and now begins to update stock apps, months ahead of the software’s debut.
The Chinese tech giant updates OxygenOS apps frequently to add support for unreleased software rollouts. On the other hand, this helps the app continue to work reliably after upgrading to a new version of the operating system or a major OxygenOS switch.
However, the latest development in this unit is quite surprising as the company is providing Android 14 (OxygenOS) support to the OnePlus Phone app. The application update is available on the APK Mirror, where the changelog or the notes section reads “Support Android 14”.
Other than that, the application update type points out the term “Experimental”, which hints that the new version could be available to a small number of users with the flagship phones. In the coming days, we are expecting a wider rollout of this upgraded app.
The information reveals that the OnePlus Phone app is getting a fresh update with OxygenOS 14.0.5 version and a package size of 13.23 MB. Alongside Android 14 support, the update brings new tweaks to the UI and mends a few defects in the app. You can check more details in the changelog below.
