The Redmi K40 Gaming Edition model has started receiving the July 2023 Android security update in China. This new patch comes with the aim to optimize the overall performance of the system and take the user’s experience to a new level. Through improvements, bug fixes, and common refinements.
The consumers of Redmi K40 Gaming Edition will be able to identify the July 2023 security update via the V14.0.4.0.TKJCNXM MIUI build version. It also carries a massive 3.9 Gigabytes package size. Hence, the corresponding device owners must opt for a stable Wi-Fi connection over regular mobile data.
Accordingly, the update is rolling out through OTA and will be available for all eligible units in the next few days. In case you don’t want to wait for the OTA and likes to install the patch immediately, then you can download it manually by following some simple steps.
Visit the Settings app of your phone. Next, open the About phone and tap on the MIUI version. Further, click on the Check for the updates, and for the available software, click on the Download tab.
Note – It’s recommended to take a backup of all your important data, before proceeding with the installation process and keep the device charged at least 30%.
