Google is bringing a new network feature to the Find My Device application. This addition to the respective app will help users in finding their phones and other handy gadgets, even when they are in low-network or offline conditions with the help of other nearby Android devices.
Eventually, Google named this new feature ‘Find My Device Network’. The functionality consists of four choices to pick from, depending on consumers’ preferences and privacy concerns. These options are as follows:
- OFF: This option turns off the Find My Device Network and the device’s last location data when it was online.
- Without network: It retains the device’s last location data when it was online, but will not use the Find My Device Network.
- With networks in high-traffic areas only.
- With the network in all areas – even in low-traffic areas.
