Samsung Galaxy S24 tipped to use Exynos 2400 Soc, check details

The rumors of bringing back the Exynos chipset with the next flagship series seem to be true. As a new leak reveals Exynos 2400 Soc with 10-Core CPU, 2x GPU, and 2-Way Satellite Communication support for Samsung Galaxy S24. Hence, the company is reportedly bringing back the Exynos-Snapdragon chipset strategy next year.

It means the Samsung Galaxy S24 series, launching in the quarter 1st of 2024, will be available in the US, China, Korea, and parts of Asia with Snapdragon Soc, whereas, the Europe and Africa owners may receive a new Exynos 2400 variant.

According to the information, the next Exynos chip will be packed with notable upgrades such as 2x GPU and a 10-core design of 1+2+3+4. The specific specifications are: 1 ARMv9 Cortex-X4 core at 3.1GHz, 2 ARMv9 Cortex-A720 cores at 2.9GHz, 3 ARMv9 Cortex-A720 cores at 2.6GHz, and 4 ARMv9 Cortex-A520 cores at 1.8GHz.

Moving on, the Exynos 2400 will only support 64-bit due to the transition to the latest Arm V9.2 core. In terms of graphics, it will be equipped with Xclipse 940, which has 2x graphics computing units that RDNA 2 achieves. Also, the chip will further enhance applications in the AI ​​field.

Furthermore, Samsung’s Exynos 2400 could bring the Exynos 5300 modem, which can achieve a downlink speed of up to 10Gbps and an uplink speed of up to 3.87Gbps, and supports two-way satellite communication and the latest 3GPP 5G Version 18 network. Not only this, but the next flagship chip also supports UFS 4.0 storage and LPDDR5X memory with a rate of up to 8.5Gbps.
