YouTube Music is expanding the RSS support for podcasts. As of now, content creators will be able to upload their podcast episodes through the RSS feed. Meanwhile, the app itself will generate a ‘video’ version of the respective content for users outside of YouTube Music.
So far, the company has launched podcasts support at the outset of this year and is now bringing it to the RSS feed of YouTube Music. Recently, YouTube’s podcast lead – Steve McLendon confirmed that the firm will push this capability on board later this year.
Ahead, Steve also mentioned that podcast support for YouTube Music will go live for more countries by the end of 2023. Users living in the US, Canada, and Latin America will be able to use this feature from today.
