Apple is likely to stop customer support on Twitter and YouTube

Apple is planning to stop the customer support on Twitter and YouTube platforms later this year. Eventually, users won’t be able to receive any kind of help or facility from an Apple employee on the respective social media channels after this change comes into effect.

The information further reveals that the company won’t reply to users who send direct messages from the mentioned online apps. Instead, you will receive an automated text that will outline other ways to contact the company and get assistance.

Ahead, the manufacturer will also eliminate the technical assistance to users in the comments section of YouTube videos from the official support channel. Notably, Apple will stop customer support for YouTube and Twitter from October 1.

This is so because Apple is providing an option for chat support staff to transition to phone-based support positions within the company. But not everyone is in favor of this strategy. Meanwhile, the tech giant is restricting to switch to another chat-based support role without medical necessity.

Well, employees will receive training to provide phone support and the transition will go on till November. Describing the reasons, the firm said that many customers prefer phone-based support.
