Nothing Launcher new update reminds of old OxygenOS version

Nothing Launcher application is getting a new update that prominently reminds us of the old OxygenOS version. It seems as if the company CEO – Carl Pei is trying to copy a few things from his previous workplace to the new one!

According to the information, Nothing Phone (2) users are receiving a new Launcher application update which resembles the look of the old OxygenOS version. Currently, the company is releasing new offerings with the 2.2.0 app build and has availed it to limited users at the moment.

What’s New

  • Introduced Hide app icon. Simply swipe right in the App Drawer and hide the icons you don’t want to show on your home screen.
  • Refreshed widgets library – UI widgets appear more clearly now.

How similar to old OxygenOS?

After installation, some users on X (Twitter) reported that the overall look of the application is likewise to what we had in old OxygenOS. Moreover, it’s quite simple and easy to navigate throughout the app. However, it would have been better if even OnePlus could have restored some of the tweaks from the past software experience.

Besides, the new hide app icons are a useful addition that lets you hide icons that you don’t want on the home screen or the app drawer. Consequently, the version is rolling out gradually and may take a few days to reach all the users.
