OnePlus is rolling out OxygenOS 14 closed beta for its eligible devices. We have already filled out the OxygenOS 14 section with all of the relevant actions and it’s time to look at some excellent features that the upgrade will bring for OnePlus phones on board. As per the revealings shared by AndroidCentral, OnePlus OxygenOS 14 will introduce seven excellent features related to the user interface and device settings. While a few things still resemble ColorOS, there are some effective changes that will play a significant role in enhancing the overall experience.
Eventually, the upcoming minor yet interesting additions are:
- Carbon Footprint AOD Style
The new style uproots over the Homeland AOD and reflects the impact of carbon emissions on our planet. It further includes five models – 0%, 25%, 45%, 75%, and 100%. Each mode shifts as per the amount of distance you have covered by walking. For instance – 100% is 8,000 steps. This changes the look of the AOD.
- Search Pillbox on the home screen
OxygenOS 14 will bring a new search tab at the bottom of the home screen. This capability comprises global search and lets you find contacts, documents, and even the web through your phone. Note that the pillbox fades away when you scroll between slides on the home screen.
- New tweaks to the lock screen
The lock screen in OxygenOS 14 will consist of two additional controls: QR and flashlight. Consequently, you can set a shortcut for the mentioned functions on the lock screen and can operate them without unlocking your phone. You will also find the music playback with better controls in this section.
- Dozen of new ringtones and sounds
OxygenOS 14 has a big bundle of new ringtones and sounds that are quite better than the previous versions. These tones are based on the Aquamorphic design.
- Unified security dashboard
The tech giant has already combined the security and privacy sections and with the upcoming version, the company is enhancing this segment to some more extent. It now highlights a clean layout with better permission for apps.
- Smart Suggestions
Smart Suggestions will bring inputs on the lock screen, notification shade, and status bar. The feature pulls in data from ride-hailing and food-delivery services and shows the data in the form of a card that’s viewable on the lock screen or notification panel.
- Per-App Language
OxygenOS 14 will enable you to change the language on a per-app basis. The feature is available in the Additional Settings sub-menu, and you can easily select a language for an individual app without having to change the system language.
