Apple iOS 17 comes on the ground with several useful features and one of them is the private browsing capability for the Safari app. This time, the tech giant has not only revamped the UI segments for the device but for system applications as well.
Just a simple swipe on the Tabs screen in the Apple Safari app, and you can access the all-new iOS 17 private browsing feature. Let us tell you that – to maintain the privacy of your Internet surfing, the company has imposed a locked feature on the browser application.
Consequently, a message saying ‘Private Browsing is Locked’ will appear on the screen when you try to access Private Tabs. You need to set a biometric password using Face ID or Touch ID. After a successful verification, you can check on your tabs.
This is an additional layer that shields your browsing items even when your phone remains unlocked. In case you want to disable this feature or don’t want to set a biometric password, you can alter it via Settings > Safari > Require Face ID to Unlock Private Browsing.
