As per the revealings, Google is trying to make the Messages app a perfect chat app with some useful capabilities, including a conversation picker. In simple words, choosing ‘Google Messages’ from the system share sheet will pop up a new prompt with the ‘Select conversation’ option.
This feature will ultimately display recent contacts along with their name, profile image, and phone number. Further, you will see a ‘Select recipients’ page with a tiny search icon and ‘Recent Conversations’ listed at the top.
