Are you facing Alert Slider Chrome bug on your OnePlus phone?

OnePlus smartphone users have been dealing with a strange Chrome bug for a long time, and the root cause of this problem is the alert slider. As per the revealings, the most favorite OnePlus device segment continues to interrupt the browsing experience in an odd manner.

Spotted by the OnePlus fan @Some_Random_Username, when a user changes the alert slider position, it leads to the Find in Page section in Chrome. It is the same process that occurs when pressing the F3 key on a keyboard connected via USB-OTG.

Notably, this issue not only affects the OnePlus phone running OxygenOS 12 but also those that are Android 13 build. So far, there have been no such problems on the OxygenOS builds released prior to the codebase merge with OPPO ColorOS.

Ironically, it seems as if the Nord developer should think once again about the strong collaboration and improve a few things at the earliest. Meanwhile, OnePlus users who are troubled with the alert slider Chrome bug can submit an issue on the Chromium issue tracker. To do so:

  • Click HERE, tap on the star icon at the top left, log in to your Google account, and ensure the star icon is now filled.
  • Do not post replies saying you have the same issue. This will spam everyone who is reporting this issue and can lead Google to close the report.
