Apple has dropped the macOS 14.1 beta 2 update for the public testers with a handful of improvements, but it seems as if a nasty location alerts issue has also accompanied the firmware. As per the reports, the latest version is constantly annoying users with unwanted notifications.
Recently, an Apple Mac user on X (Twitter) shared a screenshot and said that the new macOS 14.1 beta 2 update has an odd issue where location-based alerts are constantly appearing on the screen. Adding more, the owner mentioned that he has already received the prompt 5-10 times.
Here is what the prompt reads:
“Home would like to use your current location for setting up accessory automation, like turning off the lights when you leave your house, and to enable Siri to help you control accessories.”

Being a beta build, we can expect some issues in the firmware. Though we hope that the tech giant will resolve this problem with the upcoming versions. Till then, let us know whether you are facing the same issue through the comment section.
