Yes, not many but a small group of users carrying the new Pixel 8 and 8 Pro models in their pockets are facing connection issues with Android Auto. As a result, the defect restricts the application from starting at all or even leaves it in a freezing condition on the setup screen.
On a positive note, Google is aware of this situation. After the navigation bar, the tech giant started exploring the connection issue and added it to the work-in-progress list saying that the Android Auto team needs bug reports to investigate further and release a fix.
