Three months back, Elon Musk announced a new feature that lets users make voice and video calls on X/Twitter, just like we do on other apps including Instagram, and at that time the functionality was limited to premium subscribers. But, now every user can enjoy the Voice and Video Call feature on X/Twitter.
As per the information of 9To5Google, X/Twitter is bringing voice and video calling features for all users. It means, that whether you are a premium subscriber or the normal one, everyone will be able to enjoy the Voice and Video Calls feature on X/Twitter. While the premium subscribers will be allowed extra functionalities.
Notably, the new voice and video calling will act through the direct messages page and will have controls on that same settings page. Without changing anything, every user’s account will be set to receive calls from accounts they follow or have in their address book. That means if you follow someone and they’re a premium member, they can call you whenever they want.
How to turn Twitter/X voice and video calling off
