Google has begun rolling out the Beta 1 version of Android 14 QPR3 which brings with it some features and fixes to provide Pixel device owners a seamless experience. Notably, the beta version is released for Pixel 5a, Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 6a, Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro, Pixel 7a, Pixel Tablet, Pixel Fold, Pixel 8, and Pixel 8 Pro.
Alongside the new features and fixes, the Android 14 QPR3 Beta 1 update also carries the February 2024 Android security patch and the users of Pixel devices can identify it via the version AP21.240119.009. Now, without wasting time let’s delve into the details and check out the benefits of installing this new version.
New codenames in QPR3 Beta 1 suggest Pixel Tablet 2 may be in the works and the app icon now appears when using fingerprint or face unlock to offer better privacy. In addition, the beta version also teases Android 15 with an easter egg, the new scanning for deceptive apps and touch sensitivity menu has been added.
Moving on, the update also fixes the circle-to-search issue, as this feature was unintentionally released only to non-Beta users. Beta users should always get the latest features before, or at the same time, as the rest of the public. However, this issue has been corrected in Android 14 QPR3 Beta 1.
