Samsung has avoided Android’s seamless update feature for the last eight years. Samsung Galaxy A55 has become the first Samsung phone to use Google’s seamless updates feature, and it’s likely to come to more Galaxy phones soon. This is also the first firmware update for the Galaxy A55.
With this feature, you can now download, verify, and install the latest software update without going through a lengthy process. New software updates will be installed in the background, and users only need to restart the phone to use the new version. The first reboot after a seamless update may take a little longer than usual.
The seamless update process contains two sections titled “Downloading and Installing…” and “Verification”.
