Samsung provides a solution for the Galaxy M31 serious issue after April update

Samsung Galaxy M31 users are facing a serious issue after a recent software update, which won’t let the device start. The recent update adds the April 2020 security patch with software version M315FXXU1ATD1 for Galaxy M31. Samsung found the issue and stopped the rollout very immediately.

M31 Software Update Issue

Dear Customer

At the outset, we regret the inconvenience caused with regards to your M31 mobile phone software update issue and express our sincere appreciation for your patience

We request you to follow the below-mentioned guide for recovery of the device.

Your device will be in “downloading” mode currently. If it is in any other mode or screen is off then please charge the phone and press volume up and down keys simultaneously to bring it in

“downloading” mode.

Then, please follow the steps listed below to recover your device:

1. Connect the device to a laptop/desktop using USB cable

2. Install “Smart switch” application in your Laptop/Desktop through link given below:

3. Download two files available on Google drive through the link below:

4. Extract & save the files on your laptop/desktop

5. Double click on zip file “M315F_TB7” and extract it from saved location. Initiate the rectification process by clicking “start”

6. After approximately 10 mins., “Pass” will be displayed on the screen then device will return to home screen. All the data on your mobile phone will remain intact.
