Samsung is doing great with software updates, the company is quickly providing the latest security patch to its smartphones.
The latest software update brings something more than just a security patch to the Galaxy A50. The latest update brings the improved AR Emoji, WiFi connectivity and stability. It also improved compatibility with third-party applications.

The Galaxy A50 comes with the software version A505FNXXU5BTH8/A505FDDU5BTH8. It also includes the September 2020 security patch.

Separately, the company also released the September 2020 security patch to the Galaxy A51, Galaxy A70, and Galaxy A21s. The software versions of the Galaxy A21s, Galaxy A51, and Galaxy A70 are A217FXXU3ATH4, A515FXXS3BTH4, and A705FNXXU5BTH4 respectively. The latest software update doesn’t bring anything other than the improved security patch.
To update the version on your device, you will need to have a minimum battery charge of 20%. You may be prompted to update when it’s available, otherwise, system updates can be done over a Wi-Fi connection or with the Software Upgrade Assistant.
To manually check for updates, navigate to Settings > System update. If your system is up-to-date, you don’t need to do anything further. Otherwise, tap Download and install to update your phone.
