DuckDuckGo is a web browser that offers great privacy for browsing through websites. This app is now available to be set as a default app on the iPhone and iPad. After choosing it as the default app, if you tap on links it will open in DuckDuckGo instead of Safari.

DuckDuckGo claims that their app will provide protection from trackers by blocking third party requests and offers greater privacy for web searches and browsing.
Here’s how you can set DuckDuckGo as the default app:
- Install the latest version of DuckDuckGo from the App Store on your iPhone or iPad.
- Go to the settings app
- Select DuckDuckGo in the apps list
- Then, tap on Default Browser App
This app also offers a widget that can be installed on the home screen of your iPhone, and you can directly make a search from it.
