Apple announced its online store for Indian customers and it will go live from September 23. Customers in India will be able to purchase Apple devices such as iPhones, Macs, iPads, and more directly from the Apple store online.
“We’re proud to be expanding in India and want to do all we can to support our customers and their communities,” said Deirdre O’Brien, Apple’s senior vice president of Retail + People. “We know our users are relying on technology to stay connected, engage in learning, and tap into their creativity, and by bringing the Apple Store online to India, we are offering our customers the very best of Apple at this important time.”
With the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Apple’s many local stores are closed in India and customers could only purchase through third-party retailers such as Amazon and Flipkart which provide limited Apple products. With the arrival of Apple’s online store in India, customers can easily avail Apple services online with a wide variety of products directly from their home.

Apple’s online store will provide you with services such as ordering products, setting up new devices, and other Apple services. Customers will also be able to change language from English to Hindi for easy understanding.
Earlier due to restriction policies Apple wasn’t able to sell its products online in India. The sales were only done through third-party resellers. As per the policy, the foreign company requires 30% of production to be done locally for online sales. The Indian government in 2019 made some changes in the policies for foreign companies and now, the US tech giant is free to operate its online store in the country.
