July 2020 security updates starts rolling out for Honor Play 4T

On 9 April 2020, Honor released to two models in the Play series, Honor Play 4T and Play 4T Pro. Now, Honor Play 4T receiving a new Magic UI 3.1 version and July security patch for better security experience.

CHANGELOG:

Integrated Android security patches released in July 2020 for improved system security.

SECURITY PATCH DETAILS:

It fixes a different level of exploits and issues listed below:

Critical: CVE-2020-0224, CVE-2020-9589, CVE-2020-3699, CVE-2020-3698, CVE-2020-0225

High: CVE-2020-0227, CVE-2020-0122, CVE-2020-0228, CVE-2020-0107, CVE-2018-20669, CVE-2019-20636, CVE-2020-0226, CVE-2020-0231, CVE-2020-3700

VERSION:

• Upgrade to 3.1.0.130 from 3.1.0.141

POINTS TO KEEP IN MIND BEFORE UPDATE:

• The update will not erase any data.
• Maintain enough storage and battery.
• If possible, connect to Wifi.

UPDATE INSTRUCTIONS:

Through Setting:

1. Open Settings in your device.
2. Click on system & updates.
3. Click on software update.
4. Check for update
5. Click on the download button.
6. Install updates
7. After completion of the installation, the reboot option appears onscreen.
8. Reboot the device.

Through Support app:

1. Open Support app in your device.
2. If not installed, download it from play store.
3.  Open service tab.
4. Tap on update.
5. Check for updates
6. Click on the download button.
7. Install updates
8. After completion of the installation, the reboot option appears onscreen.
9. Reboot the device.
