Recently, Gboard starts suggesting emoji with lots of suggestions like smart replies and clipboard on the top bar of the keyboard. When you start typing something you will see three spelling suggestions and one emoji for some words.

Gboard is now introducing a minor change that squeezes two emojis in that large third space, for more options. When you start typing any word, for instance, ‘money’ if there are more emoji associated with this word then you will get to see two emojis.

Filling up that space better and making it easier to find the exact emoji you were looking for. This change is started rolling out server-side, you don’t need to update Gboard to activate it, but your odds might be higher if you’re running the latest version.
Download the latest version of Gboard
If you don’t want to see any emoji suggestion then you can deactivate it under Gboard’s Settings > Text correction > Show emoji suggestions.
