Google is forming a special Android security team to find vulnerabilities in highly sensitive apps available on the Google Play Store. Google posted a job update about to hire Security Engineering Manager, Android Security.

The Android security team will complete the work being done by independent security researchers through the Google Play Security Reward Program (GPSRP).
The GPSRP is a bug bounty program for Android apps available on the Google Play store. On the behalf of the app owners, Google pays for the bug reported by the security researchers. Apps with more than 100 million users are eligible for this program.

“As a Security Engineering Manager in Android Security, you’ll be protecting these people by leading a team that investigates and solves problems in vulnerability analysis. Your team will perform application security assessments against highly sensitive, third party Android apps on Google Play, working to identify vulnerabilities and provide remediation guidance to impacted application developers,” Google posted on its Careers page more details about the job here.
