Also, the phone series will feature better zooming capabilities thanks to the first in Mate-series, Periscope lens. Until now, this type of zoom camera only been used in P series devices. Other than the camera, the Huawei Mate 40 series will equip with a new 5nm Kirin 9000 processor, which is the last flagship Kirin chipset from the company.

According to HC, the first sale of the Huawei Mate 40 series will start by the end of this month and the company will keep it exclusive to the Chinese market, at least for this year.

Meanwhile, the date of its global sale may not happen until next year. This could be due to the shortage of chipsets and the limited stock of required components for mass production and effect of the U.S. sanctions.
