The regulatory filing from brazil, suggests that the iPhone 12 Mini has a battery capacity of 2,227mAh. It is the shortest battery life in comparison to all the iPhones in the iPhone 12 lineup. The same filing reveals that the iPhone 12 is equipped with a 2,815mAh battery capacity. Although, Apple never reveals the battery information of its iPhones by itself.
In comparison to the previous iPhones, the battery capacity has been decreased by the company to make them more lightweight. The iPhone 11 offered a 3,110mAh nominal capacity as compared to the 2,815mAh of the iPhone 12.

Despite the low battery, the iPhone 12 Mini offers a decent battery backup. According to Apple, It can provide up to 15 hours of video playback and up to 50 hours of audio playback.
Even with the low battery capacity, these new iPhone provides a sufficient battery life, all because of the new and more efficient A14 Bionic chip.
The iPhone 12 and 12 Pro comes with the same battery backup providing 17 hours of video playback and 65 hours of audio playback. Compared to 20 hours of video playback and 80 hours of audio playback offered by the iPhone 12 pro-Max.
