Xiaomi has begun to rollout the MIUI 12 update for Mi Max 3 users. It brings a bundle of new features and optimizations for better user experience.

MIUI 12 update for Mi Max 3 comes with a number of new features such as new dynamic visuals, full-screen gesture option, animated icons, Casting, Notes, Dark mode, and more.
It also optimizes the press and hold an app preview in Recents to choose between Split-screen and floating windows. Currently, this update is rolling out for Global and Russian variants of Mi Max 3.
