Honor 30S grabbing September 2020 security update

Honor is releasing September 2020 security update for Honor 30S user. This security update improves the system security and fixes a different level of exploits and issues which includes 3 critical and 10 high-level CVE’s.

Previously, Honor 20S received the same update which brought improvement for system security and enhanced the device performance.

MAGICUI 3.1 VERSION:

  • Honor 30S upgraded to MagicUI 3.1 version 3.1.1.195 from 3.1.1.192/193

Integrated Android security patches released in September 2020 for improved system security.

POINTS TO KEEP IN MIND BEFORE UPDATE:

  • The update will not erase any data.
  • Sometimes update size may vary.
  • Maintain enough storage and battery.
  • If possible, connect to Wifi.

UPDATE INSTRUCTIONS:

Through Setting:

  1. Open Settings on your device.
  2. Click on system & updates.
  3. Click on the software update.
  4. Check for update
  5. Click on the download button.
  6. Install updates
  7. After completion of the installation, the reboot option appears onscreen.
  8. Reboot the device.

Through Support app:

  1. Open the Support app on your device.
  2. If not installed, download it from the Play store.
  3.  Open service tab.
  4. Tap on update.
  5. Check for updates
  6. Click on the download button.
  7. Install updates
  8. After completion of the installation, the reboot option appears onscreen.
  9. Reboot the device.
