Honor Play 4 Pro began collecting September 2020 security update

Honor Play 4 Pro getting September 2020 security update that brings improvements for the system security. This security patch fixes a different level of exploits and issues that includes 3 critical and 19 high-level CVE’s.

Recently, Honor 30 Youth Edition which is also known as Honor 30 Lite has received the same September 2020 security update with a new Multi-screen collaboration function that provides easy file transfer between PCs and tablets.

  • Honor Play 4 Pro getting MagicUI 3.1 version 3.1.0.115/116 from version 3.1.0.113/114

Security: Integrated Android security patches released in September 2020 for improved system security.

  • The update will not erase any data
  • It may take some time to reach your device
  • Maintain enough storage and battery
  • If possible, connect to WiFi

UPDATE INSTRUCTIONS:

Through Setting:

  1. Open Settings on your device.
  2. Click on system & updates.
  3. Click on the software update.
  4. Check for update
  5. Click on the download button.
  6. Install updates
  7. After completion of the installation, the reboot option appears on the screen.
  8. Reboot the device.

Through Support app:

  1. Open the Support app on your device.
  2. If not installed, download it from the Play store.
  3.  Open service tab.
  4. Tap on update.
  5. Check for updates
  6. Click on the download button.
  7. Install updates
  8. After completion of the installation, the reboot option appears on the screen.
  9. Reboot the device.
