Huawei released first software update for Mate 40 Pro with dual-view recording mode and more

Huawei has launched its annual flagship lineup Huawei Mate 40 series on October 22 at the global launch conference and Mate 40 Pro is available for pre-booking in the European market. However, this flagship series will launch on 30 October in China

Now, Huawei is releasing the first software update for one of the models of the Huawei Mate 40 series, Huawei Mate 40 Pro. This update installs the September 2020 security patch and brings a dual-view recording mode, added Huawei Store app, optimizes the video editing function, and more.

Huawei Mate 40 Pro brings the powerful 5nm Kirin 9000 processor, pre-installed EMUI 11, professional camera technology, and much more exciting features.

  • Huawei Mate 40 Pro upgraded to EMUI 11.0.0.123

UPDATE SIZE:

  • Size: 842MB

*Currently, this update is rolling out in Europe.

Camera: Adds Dual-View recording mode to use front and rear camera simultaneously

Apps: Adds the Huawei Store app

Gallery: Optimizes the video editing function in the Gallery app and supports the creation of short, personalized videos.

Security: Integrated Android security patches released in September 2020 for improved system security.

  • It may take some time to reach your device
  • Maintain enough storage and battery
  • If possible, connect to WiFi

UPDATE INSTRUCTIONS:

Through Setting:

  1. Open Settings on your device
  2. Click on system & updates
  3. Click on the software update
  4. Check for updates
  5. Click on the download button
  6. Install updates
  7. After completion of the installation, the reboot option appears onscreen
  8. Reboot the device

Through Support app:

  1. Open the Support app on your device
  2. If not installed, download it from the play store
  3.  Open service tab
  4. Tap on update
  5. Check for updates
  6. Click on the download button
  7. Install updates
  8. After completion of the installation, the reboot option appears onscreen
  9. Reboot the device
