Huawei releases new update for Mate Xs with September 2020 security patch and optimizations

September 2020 security patch and optimization for sound effect as well as for system stability are rolling out for Huawei Mate Xs foldable smartphone. Earlier this week, this security patch is received by global Mate Xs users, and now available for their Chinese counterparts with new optimizations.

On the other hand, Huawei Mate Xs is under EMUI 11 beta testing and received the first beta software update in mid-October. As per the new official upgrade plan, the EMUI 11 public beta for Mate Xs is planned for mid-November 2020.

  • Huawei Mate Xs (TAH-AN00m)

NEW VERSION:

  • Huawei Mate Xs upgraded to EMUI 10.1.0.138 from EMUI 10.1.0.136

*This update is rolling out in China only

  • The update will not erase any data
  • Update size may vary from region to region
  • Maintain enough storage and battery
  • If possible, connect to WiFi

UPDATE INSTRUCTIONS:

Through Setting:

  1. Open Settings on your device.
  2. Click on system & updates.
  3. Click on the software update.
  4. Check for updates.
  5. Click on the download button.
  6. Install updates.
  7. After completion of the installation, the reboot option appears onscreen.
  8. Reboot the device.

Through Support app:

  1. Open the Support app on your device.
  2. If not installed, download it from the play store.
  3.  Open service tab.
  4. Tap on update.
  5. Check for updates.
  6. Click on the download button.
  7. Install updates.
  8. After completion of the installation, the reboot option appears onscreen.
  9. Reboot the device.
