Still, there are some eligible devices that are waiting for the much-hyped and anticipated MIUI 12 build. Earlier, we reported that the MIUI 12 update for Redmi 6, and 6A might be rolled out in October.
Now, the company has officially confirmed that Redmi 7, Redmi Y3, Redmi 6, and Redmi 6A devices will not get the MIUI 12 Global Stable update. The reason behind making this decision is that the company has cited compatibility and performance issues.
In April last year, Xiaomi had launched Redmi 7 and Redmi Y3, which was packed with MIUI 10.2 Global Stable on top of Android 9.0 (Pie). Previously, the company did not find these devices eligible to upgrade to Android 10, and now these devices won’t receive an MIUI version update either.
