After launch, the company released the Kernel sources code of this device. Now, as per the new information, the file that was associates with Xiaomi “sm7350” remains in Kernel Source, so it is said that Xiaomi is developing a mid-range product equipped with the new Snapdragon 7 series product.
Well, this is not any of the old chips from Qualcomm which clears that this is an upcoming SoC. Apart from this, we have more reasons to believe this. A well-known tipster in July 2020 said that the Redmi K40 and Redmi K40 Pro may come with SM7350 and SM8350 SoCs sequentially.
Earlier, we also reported that Redmi will launch its first Snapdragon 888 processor-powered device in Q1 2021 and it could be the Redmi K40 Pro. This unannounced 7th series of Qualcomm SoC was also reportedly examined with 12GB DDR5 RAM, 256GB UFS 3.1 storage, and a 120Hz screen.
If these reports will come true then the new chipset may come out in the first quarter of 2021, which is in line with Redmi’s release schedule. However, these are only speculations, for more detailed information, we will have to wait for more reports.
