Samsung unveiled its Galaxy S21 series with a number of premium features such as 5G connectivity, latest and powerful processors, unique design, and more. The company launched three new smartphones that are Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 Plus, and Galaxy S21 Ultra.
Previously we have been hearing some rumors which pointed out that Samsung could ditch the charging adapter from the box of the S21 smartphones. And this piece of rumor became true when the Korean tech giant announced the new smartphones.
Samsung followed the lead of Apple and removed the charging adapter from the box of its new S-series smartphones, while the reason for eliminating was notable. In fact, Samsung gave the same reason as Apple. Even, the Korean firm has teased the US tech giant for removing the charging adapter from the box, and now the company did the same.

This is what Samsung has to say for removing the charging adapter from the box:
“We discovered that more and more Galaxy users are reusing accessories they already have and making sustainable choices in their daily lives to promote better recycling habits. To support our Galaxy community in this journey, we are transitioning to removal of the charger plug and earphones in our latest line of Galaxy smartphones.
We believe that the gradual removal of charger plugs and earphones from our in-box device packaging can help address sustainable consumption issues and remove any pressure that consumers may feel towards continually receiving unnecessary charger accessories with new phones.
We’ve also been implementing standardized USB-C type charging ports since 2017, so older chargers can still be compatible with our newest Galaxy models. “
As per this decision, users are all left out and have no other option than buying a separate charger for the Galaxy S21 smartphones. Although there is a difference in the price from the previous generation. But it seems that the exclusion of chargers will compensate for it as the users have to buy it separately, in case they don’t have one.
