As with the growing demands of smartphones, most users look for a display centric phone. After the introduction of new display technologies, phone makers now have a variety of screens to use on their smartphones.
The flagship smartphones offer many new types of high-end display features such as 120Hz, Quad HD+ display, and high resolutions to provide an enhanced user experience. The latest evolution in the field of the display is the LTPO technology which is now adopted by more and more phone makers.
As per the latest report (Via – Huawei Central) from the well-known Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC) Founder and CEO, Ross Young, many of the upcoming smartphones and also the actual handsets use the LTPO display technology.

Likewise, Huawei is also planning for its new flagship smartphones that will be launched in the coming days under the P50 series. As the report suggest, the Huawei P50 Pro, the high-end variant of the series will use the LTPO display technology.
Along with Huawei, companies like Apple, Samsung, and Xiaomi are also using or will adopt this new technology. For those who are unaware, LTPO (Low-Temperature Polycrystalline Oxide) is a new technology designed for OLED display. These displays consume low power and provide an immersive experience.
Looking at the LCD panels, it uses LTPS (low-Temperature polycrystalline Silicon) thin-film transistors (TFTs). While the AMOLED displays are more standard but they are expensive as well. As of now, there is not much info revealed about the Huawei Mate 50 smartphone. But we can expect more in the coming days as we move towards its launch.
