After a bunch of leaks and rumors, Samsung has finally launched the rough and tough Galaxy XCover 5. The device comes with high durability that can survive in extreme conditions.
Samsung official said that “The Galaxy XCover 5, designed to withstand “tough work environments, is a device that addresses the challenges employers in the field often face, from ensuring the protection of sensitive material to durable use in any environment,”.
The company also said, “Whether on the factory floor or in extreme heat, rain or snow in outdoor conditions, it can keep up with the demands of the job, while improving productivity and increasing collaboration to make day-to-day work easier and more efficient.”

Samsung claims that the phone can survive the drop of up to 1.5 meters and can be submerged in slightly over 1 meter of water for longer than 30 minutes, along with enhanced protection against dust. The phone also has a Glove-Touch feature, which increases touch sensitivity and allows users to operate the smartphone while wearing gloves.
Samsung Galaxy XCover 5 Specifications
Regarding the specification phone sports a 5.3-inch 720 x 1480 LCD touchscreen covered with Gorilla Glass 6. The smartphone is powered by an Exynos 850 chipset and paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable memory.
The device packs a battery of 3000mAh along with standard 15W fast charging. For photography, it equips a 16MP rear camera setup while for selfies it has a 5MP shooter. In terms of software, it runs on the latest Android 11 OS.
Price and Availability
The Galaxy XCover 5 will be available in select markets in Asia, Europe, and Latin America starting this month. And soon it will also be available in the other markets as well. The smartphone is priced at around 299 euros in Europe.
