Regarding the specifications, the new SSD 980 has a PCIe Gen.3.0 x4, NVMe 1.4 interface, and an M.2 form factor. The SSD can speed read and write is 3,500 / 3,000 MB/s and random read and write speed up to 500k IOPS/ 480K IPS.
It uses the Samsung Magician Management software and benefits from AES 256-bit Full Disk Encryption, TCG/Opal V2.0, and Encrypted Drive (IEEE1667) data encryption technologies. It is available in three configurations that are 250GB, 500GB, and 1TB which costs $49.99, $69.99, and $129.99, respectively.
