Qualcomm is known for its high-end and power-packed processors, the company recently unveiled its latest flagship processor called the Snapdragon 888 which is built on Samsung’s 5nm EUV fabrication process. This new chipset comes along with many flagship phones of several OEMs.
Samsung has used this chip on its latest Galaxy S20 flagships alongside the Exynos 2100. With the Snapdragon 888, Qualcomm has preferred Samsung over the TSMC and it seems that the companies will share this bond in the upcoming days as well.
As per the latest news shared by a leakster, Qualcomm already has the successor of the Snapdragon 888 (SM8450) is in the works codenamed Waipio and it will be manufactured by the South Korean firm. While it is now yet confirmed that whether it will use the same 5nm LPE process or any other.
As per the trend, Qualcomm may also launch a new chipset this year most probably the Snapdragon 888 Pro or Snapdragon 888 Plus (SM8350 Pro). This new chipset is also expected to be manufactured by the Korean phone maker.

Besides the processors, Samsung already develops 5G modems for Qualcomm including Snapdragon X62 and Snapdragon X65 which are based on a 4nm processor. The next chip from Qualcomm is expected to bring more power efficiency and improvements over the companies older flagship chipset.
